This is the fourth event which will host the dark Goblin Market, the one part of any of our shows which is utterly capable of simply stealing you away. The Goblin Market is a space where all the rules change, and you experience the event as if you were in another world altogether – with performers and characters, atmospheric installations, interactivity, and the sale of all manner of imaginary things. It’s been universally acclaimed as one of the most fun things we’ve ever done at an event, whether you like interacting with characters, or just enjoy hanging out and watching a fascinating world go by.
We’ve spent many months designing, upgrading, and redesigning it, and are still in the process of making it larger, better to interact with, more fascinating, and even more full of moonless night.
And, like last year…we’ve added the VIP Meet and Greet to it, as well.
You can enjoy as much of either event as you want – you can just have the Goblin Market, or just have the VIP meetup, or do both – it’s up to you!
What is the VIP Meet & Greet?
Ah, the meet-and-greet! ’Tis when you come and sip tea and hang out with many of World’s Fair’s performers, authors, speakers, and guests – as well as your fellow VIPs, of course. An excellent way to make new friends, as well as a chance to rub elbows with some of our best-beloved and most distinguished event visitors. You get to meet out with them in a fun, relaxed atmosphere, chat, and hang out… but that’s not even half of it!
While the tea area lets you kick back and enjoy a convivial atmosphere with old friends, new friends, and various highly talented celebrities, creators, musicians, and others… you can also venture into the rest of the room, and play around in our Goblin Market!
What Is The Goblin Market?
The Goblin Market is our very own interactive theatrical experience, wherein you get to enter a mystical place where dreams are bought and sold. Whether you enjoy interacting with fascinating characters, or would simply like to watch the Market as its strange assortment of characters wheel and deal, we offer an entrance to a world-within-a-world, a strange place where everything is for sale and dreams are just another currency.
Think of it as part game, part immersive experience, part improvisational entertainment – you can participate as much or as little as you’d like.
We first premiered it at Wicked Faire, and the response was incredible – people loved the miniature Universe we created. Last year’s Goblin Market sold over 900 tickets! As a very special gift to our VIPs, we’re offering this to you for free with your VIP tickets. This is an amazing offer – many people paid $20 just for the Goblin Market alone at Wicked, and that was in its brand-new, maiden-voyage form. You get to enjoy the newest and best-crafted version of it… AND the celebrity tea party. It’s truly an incredible deal.
Don’t let this sell out before you can reserve your space! Order it here! If you’ve already got tickets, you can still upgrade them!
* That friend to all Steampunks, Urbandictionary.com, helpfully defines “crikey” as being “similar to blimey”. I’m glad we straightened that out.**
**Actually, Urbandictionary then goes on to claim that crikey is a `shortened corruption of “Christ the king” to express displeasure at a happening or event’, which makes it similar to other ancient expressions–for example, did you know that “zounds!” is short for “God’s wounds”? Seriously, people really knew how to make up weird words back then. I mean, what do we have, in comparison? Will linguists of the future be able to parse what Ke$ha means when she says she’s looking “sick and sexified”? Actually, is anyone today quite sure what she’s talking about? ’Cause I’m pretty confused by that whole video, especially the part where people run into each other and turn into glitter. And people say we’re weird.

Need to know…I am purchasing several VIP level 1 passes for my family(4). My daughter is 14 and I’d like to purchase the childs ticket for her. Does that get her into the goblin market with us or do I need her to get a VIP pass also? Please email me back asap so I can get those tickets ordered today!
Hi, Lisa! The kid tickets only come with a regular weekend admission – however, you can just buy the kid ticket and then purchase an upgrade.
