Registration & Delights

Below, you will find our Tea Party, Cabaret, Murder Mystery Dinner, and, of course, Advance Registration Tickets.  (Actually, the Cabaret is on hold while we try to convince the hotel distributors to stock a decent brand of absinthe.  But the rest are all here.)

For Advance Registration Tickets, please scroll to the bottom of the page! There’s only one price for advance tickets.  They’re $30, with a $5 gift certificate.  Tickets at the door will be $40, with no gift certificate.

The Tea Party is on Friday eve.  The Murder Mystery Dinner is on Saturday eve.

And without further ado…the fine and delicious and exciting things you can purchase!

The Cup Of Brown Joy Tea Party

“I always fear that creation will expire before teatime.”
~Sydney Smith

You can say I’m mad with tea, or, or just say I’m mad.
~Professor Elemental

Don’t let creation expire before you have tea with us! This tea, lovingly served on Friday evening, consists of:

~An opportunity to spend time with that immortal poet, Professor Elemental.

~A chance to spend time with your colleagues engaging in the most civilized of discourse – namely, that which happens over a nice hot cuppa.

~”White Glove Service”.   I’m not entirely certain what the hotel means by this.  I’m pretty sure it means they put on white gloves and charge us extra.

Oh, and…

A Display of Fine Teas.  Our goal is to provide you with plenty of variety.  Possibly ridiculous amounts of variety.   We don’t yet have a list, but please assume that there will be plenty of really lovely tea, lest Professor Elemental break our necks.

Honey Sticks & Lemon
Hot Scones, Biscotti, and Assorted Petits Four.
Assorted Sweet Loaves

Reasonably delicious preserves in wide variety
Butter Cookies
Coffee & Decaffeinated Coffee.  Remember, James Bond called tea “a cup of mud”.   Some of us like coffee.
Bottled Water.  In case you’re worried that New Jersey water will give you a terminal case of, well, New Jersey.

Lovecraft’s Revenge Murder Mystery Dinner – Buffet, Theatre, and Game

Dublin CoddleShepherd's Piecthulhu cavestomato-basil-mozz-sandwich

“Madness, of course — but had I not now stumbled into a nighted world as mad as I?”
~H.P. Lovecraft

“Yes, Virgina, there is a Great Cthulhu. He exists as certainly as the cold unfeelingness of the cosmos exits, and you know that this meaninglessness abounds and gives to your life its highest absurdity.”
~Steven Harris

(Please note:  The images above are representations, using stock photographs.  The actual appearance of the coddle, the shepherd’s pie, Cthulhu, and the sandwiches may vary.)

What’s that you say?  You’re not content with just having a fascinating murder mystery game?  It’s not sufficient, thereafter, to be entertained by extraordinarily talented actors, coached by an award-winning playwright?  And when we add that the entire event is themed after the seminal phantasm world of Howard Philips Lovecraft, you cry out, “Not enough!  Not enough!  I demand that this experience also include a buffet dinner from the famed Steampunk cookbook, ‘Fuel For The Boiler‘!”

Well, it’s fortunate for you that we at the Steampunk World’s Fair just happen to be overachievers.  If you wish to participate in the game, interact with our actors, and feast delightedly upon the finest the Steampunk World has to offer, here, then, is your menu:

Appetizer:

  • Grilled tomato, mozzarella, and basil sandwiches.
  • Destruction of all life as we know it by the Elder Gods.

Entrees:

  • Shepherd’s Pie.  Meaty, hearty, rich with potatoes and spices.
  • Ozark Dublin Coddle.   With thick-cut bacon and sausage.
  • Island Rice (mildly spiced).  A terribly delicious way to eat rice.

Coffee – regular and decaffeinated.

Assorted scrumptious cakes and baked goods!
