Psyche Corporation is a cyber/steampunk band fronted by a former Ladies of Steampunk model, who combines dance with a powerhouse vocal range. Hailing from a future where neuroprosthetics allow for dream downloads, the band’s style spans trip-hop, electro-rock, and world music, with themes both dystopian and lighthearted, e.g. “Perl-Operated Boy”.

Paranoid Spaceship Rock Concert
Bring-your-own-conspiracy-theory and gather round to listen to cyberpunk songs with actual secret messages embedded in them, from Morse Code, to poliovirus DNA, to barcoded telephone numbers of high-end courtesans. Rest assured that all songs can be enjoyed even in the absence of paranoid ideation; just let the alternative electrorock world music sound in, and ignore the subliminal messages.
Psyche Corporation Album Release Planned For October 2015
Psyche Corporation is a fairytale cyber/steampunk band fronted by a former Ladies of Steampunk model and programmer who combines dance with a powerhouse vocal range. The band is named after a dream manufacture group from a future where neural implants allow people to download dreams from the Internet. Songs deal in dystopian themes as well as more lighthearted filk works, such as “Perl-Operated Boy”. The musical style spans genres of trip-hop, electro-rock, and world music.
On September 1st, noon EST, Psyche Corporation launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the release of their latest album, “Romance of the Counter-Elite,” notably featuring a cover of “Annabel Lee” by Edgar Allan Poe. All 5 tracks of this EP have already been recorded, and wait only to be mastered and then sent off for manufacture into physical CDs. The fundraiser is aimed toward covering costs of mastering and manufacture. It is also a convenient way to pre-order the CD while obtaining limited edition swag. If the Kickstarter succeeds, physical copies of the new album are expected to be available as early as this October 2015—Psyche herself says she’s about 90% sure the CDs will arrive in time to be picked up at AnachronismNYC (and in the very unlikely chance they aren’t ready in time, they will be mailed out shortly afterward).
