The Return Of Milly Wonka’s Wild Absinthe Tasting!

(An absinthe tasting and mad party hosted by our talented headliners, as well as various characters from literature and film, featuring a wide variety of absinthes, as well as some highly knowledgeable and friendly absinthe experts and aficionados…and free bonus tastings of some other select vintages, such as fine mead and spiced wine…and that’s just the beginning.  Read on!) 

SPECIAL AND IMPORTANT NOTE:  2012′s absinthe tasting sold out, then we added a second seating, and THAT sold out.  Our schemes and plans for 2013′s absinthe tasting are so ambitious that, to be perfectly honest, we need about another month to confirm them.  So the page below is LAST YEAR’S absinthe tasting.   We can tell you this:  We will be offering everything from last year (with new headlining guests) AND MORE!  So look below for just SOME of what you’ll get this year!!

You know what?  To heck with ordinary absinthe tastings!  To heck with them, I say!

First:  Let’s have a tasting that genuinely offers a great experience for anyone, whether they’re absinthe aficionados or have never tasted it in their lives; let’s make it something where everyone will get something great out of it.  

Second:  Let’s throw a mad party, with the World’s Fair cast, celebrity guests, and special surprises!

Millie Wonka, Willy Wonka’s slightly deranged, absinthe-brewing brother, is throwing an a steam-blasting party and festive gathering – and you’re invited!  We’ll have music, dance for those who enjoy dancing, great conversations, and the aforementioned celebrity guests from among our performers.  In addition to your absinthe tasting, there’ll be a cash bar, featuring special prices on our famed Steampunk cocktails.  And there’s more!  We might just throw in a bit of mead and a few other drinks and liqueurs…

And that’s not all!

As we’re planning the party, we’re also  going out of our way to create a unique tasting event which will be appreciated by the entire spectrum of participants.  If you’re new, you will gain a rich reservoir of both information and assorted experiences with a variety of absinthe, in a friendly, convivial, cordial environment where people will welcome you into your absinthe experience!  On the other hand, if you’re conversant with the Green Fairy, we offer you a splendid opportunity to deepen and broaden your knowledge through a grand festive and social milieu.

Absinthe was the traditional drink of artists and authors.  Would you like to hang out with brilliant, talented, famous Steampunk creators as they kick back, relax, and down our marvelous assortment of nigh-alchemical mixed beverages!

Come meet your fellow World’s Fair goers!  Bring friends!  Bring a date!  Bring several dates!  Make friends!  Make assignations!  Celebrate!  Relax!  Party, not simply like it’s 1899, but like it’s 1899 and it’s extra awesome because we’ve got steam-powered laser weapons!

Not only will we have several varieties of absinthe.  Not only will we have a expert guests on hand.  Not only will our guests be, not simply knowledgeable, but also witty, friendly, and engaging…

We’ve spent the last eight years developing hedonism and good times to a fine art!    Witness our other event, The Wicked Winter Renaissance Faire!  You may have heard of it; you may not.  But ask anyone who’s gone or heard about it, and they’ll tell you that it’s a Renaissance Faire steadfastly dedicated to mad, passionate enjoyment of all the good things life has to offer – in vast amounts!  We are experts at throwing parties, and we’re throwing all our hearts and souls into creating a party you will never forget, and never want to!  (And that will be of invaluable assistance when the zombie apocalypse happens and you need an extra incentive not to have your brain eaten.)
