Update, May 10th: That block is temporarily sold out, but the hotel has a few rooms left – they should be releasing them on Monday, and we’ll find a fifth and last overflow hotel!

(Some people have gotten the “buy in advance” rate, which is lower. Here’s what the hotel said about that: “The regular advance purchase rate fluctuates. The hotel will charge the entire stay upon making reservation. This rate does not include breakfast or shuttle service during their stay. The $99.00 STEAMPUNK BLOCK RATE rate includes breakfast for two people, shuttle service to the venue upon request and a cancel policy of 6pm day of arrival to avoid any charges.”

In terms of primary event locations:
We’re back in two hotels we love! Our giant, sprawling carnival of an event runs rampant across parking lot and hotel lobby alike! We spill out of conference rooms into spacious tents and great swathes of land, and even underwater! (Well, okay, those are just swimming pools. Most hotel events have swimming pools.) (Actually, we’re lying, because we’re not just moving through space and time…we’re moving through weather! This year, we’re creating our own rain! We’re not even kidding! But more on that later!
We have the Embassy Suites of Piscataway – we shall be occupying all of their conference space, and it is there, with their quite large ballroom, that you will find many of our “biggest” or best-known acts and performances, as well as, of course, our famous Goblin Market (and the Meet & Greet”, as well.)
We have the Radisson of Piscataway, the most friendly hotel with which we have ever worked, and we have their conference rooms, both the big ballrooms and the smaller rooms scattered through the hotel – we are ALSO using their restaurant AND we have vending in their hotel rooms, too! We have The Great Courtyard at the Radisson, 14,000 square feet of grass, trees, killer gazebos (okay, only one gazebo, but we’re fairy sure it is a murderous gazebo) – and it swimming pool.
And we have the Maker Tent and other surprises in our Parking Lot Pavillions. We also have quite a lot of parking lot, as we’re borrowing space from the surrounding companies (thank you!) whose lots are right next to our hotels, and will be empty over the weekend.

The two event hotels of The Steampunk World’s Fair 2013 are both sold out as of January 7, 2013. We will have the primary overflow hotel confirmed by January 10th – that hotel will have special parties and other SPWF special events! Please check back then!
