The Circus has come to town! ..also, the Carnival, the Penny Gaff, the Side Show, and the Medicine Show!
We shall set your nights ablaze with fire! Your twilights, ablaze with motion! And your days ablaze with…with…well, with really fantastic performances.
Our Midway will delight, astonish, astound, terrify and/or exhilarate you! We’re bringing together a nigh-unparalleled display of all the energy, excitement, and skills you’d expect to find ‘neat a Big Top, only this is primarily in a parking lot.
(Are circuses Steampunk? Egads! The Victorians practically invented the modern circus as we know it! Here, take a gander at this. We follow in a fine tradition, and are carefully importing the full range of circus performers – scoundrels, louts, ne’er-do-wells, slaggards, luggards, blaggards, cads, gerrymanderers*, and the like!)
In addition, we’ll have fine Victorian games! Including “Lookabout”, “Charades”, “Pass The Slipper”, “Enigmas”, and others, but leaving out the “beating child laborers”, the “malaria”, and the “dying of dysentery”, because we’re just not quite that authentic. There will also be “Steam-Croquet”, which is suspiciously like regular croquet, only we’ve drawn cogs on the mallets.
